I will always jump at the chance to learn something new. Especially when it's paid for by someone else!
I went to Rick Stein's Seafood School in Padstow with a friend from work. We spent the day learning and getting our turn to cook five different fishy dishes. Nasi Goreng, Squid & Meetballs, Scallops with chili and ginger noodles (my favorite), Paella and a Whole Plaice.
I learnt how to prepare a squid, how to fillet a flat fish, prepare and cook scallops and the best part was getting to eat a meal (with wine) after every dish. We certainly didn't go home hungry and we even saw dolphins swimming in the Camal Estuary outside the window.
