I was lucky to be invited last week to the Global Wave Conference.
The event was an unprecedented gathering of the world’s most respected surfers, environmentalists, sustainable business leaders, grassroots activists, campaigners and marine experts focused on the protection of waves, oceans, beaches, wildlife and surf habitats worldwide.
I mingled with some of the big names in surfing.
Tom Curren, Greg Long and Ramon Navarro were there and just as if not more importantly, all of the guys and girls who are making a difference in the surf industry around environmental protection, inspiring surfers to act responsibly and activists who are on the front line campaigning for change.
It was hosted and organized by Surfers Against Sewage, the charity that I represented for 4 years and located at Bedruthan Hotel which incidentally is the sister hotel of The Scarlet where I work full time at the moment.
Although I was only there for less than 24 hours, I met some incredible people and am set on continuing to surround myself with people who want to make a change. #watchthisspace
